as steven mentioned the lta have relacunded their website. one feature that caught the eye is the map of where the players are!! i wonder if they had microchipped them, but alas now it's just a google map link to the where events are beign held.
would be nice it it had icons for which players are where too, i wonder if they will intorduce that? i aslo wonder if we are getting closer to the kindgom of heaven, no not jerusalem silly, but live scores

Sounds painful for the poor website!

It says on the home page that this is what the map is for, so maybe it'll start happening soon. ("See where the British players are this week on our world map, and read how they're doing with the latest updates in British Tennis.") That's really quite cool Love the idea of microchipping the players
i aslo wonder if we are getting closer to the kindgom of heaven, no not jerusalem silly, but live scores
It's quite encouraging that now have results links on the front page of he news section ... maybe that's just a red herring, but it could imply that they are going to start offering a better results service and the obvious (ok, obvious to us) next step would be live scoring.

They seem to only put a marker on the map when they have a news item rather than show where everyone is from the start of the week, which is a bit of a pity, and I'm slightly concerned that they are only going to report when players get knocked out (in which case it will look like they only ever report bad news except when someone wins a tournament), but the idea is real progress.
I don't know whether they are doing the research themselves or getting some of the info from here, but the important thing is that the Brits toiling on the Futures and Challengers circuits get a bit more recognition and encouragement and if we can contribute to that at all, that would be something to be happy about.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm afraid I'm with Sheddie on this one - he may be a dirty traitor now but he had the vision to set up this site, get people like us enthusiastic about it, make it pretty democratic and put in a lot of the work early on - if he's now able to take a bit of a back seat and leave the rest of us to it, good luck to the annoying little b****r.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
