For Those Attending Queens Qualies

From the Queens Site:
Can I attend the qualifying tournament?
Yes, although for health and safety reasons there is a limit of 500 spectators per day within the grounds of The Queens Club on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June. This is done on a first come, first served basis on the day. Admission to the qualifying tournament is free of charge and is due to begin at 10.00 am on Saturday 7th June, weather permitting.

i dont know if the 500 bit is new or not, anyone remember?

i am planning to go now as i doubt i will be going to surbs. If anyone else will be down there and wants to exchnage numbers etc please pm  me.

should we wear our britishtennis.net t-shirts? (guess i'll have to dig it out and stick it in the wash tonight!) then we can easily recognise each other!

for those that hvent been the closest tube is Barons Court Station on the District and Piccadilly lines, its very close, you come out of the station, turn right and walk down the main road, you will see the flags etc pretty quickly.

I went last year Count, and there was a limit on numbers because of 'Health & Safety'.
Can't remember if it was 500 though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the limit was 500 last year as well. I'll be going in my BT.net top too, about to PM you my number.

i might go. i'm at uni and from northern ireland so i should probably take advantage of any opportunity like this! i've only been in london a couple of times though so i could VERY easily end up in entirely the wrong place..

does qualifying start at 10am on the sunday as well? i guess you have to be there quite early to get in because of the 500 people rule?

there were probably only 150 people there last year imo and the security team got bored of clicking people in after about 10 minutes.

If you are there by 11 you'll have no problem.

And as Count says, if you find Baron's Court tube station you've found Queens Club

in my experience sunday isnt really worth going to, they only play 4 matches and have 2 on at the same time. Saturday has loads of matches tho.

like i say its easy to find, just get your self on the tube network and you cant go wrong really.

I got there at around 9 I think last year and there was hardly anyone around. I don't think you'll have any trouble getting in even if you arrive nearer to 11 or 12.

I'd love to Count. But instead of staying with my sister in Isleworth like I did on the corresponding w/e last year, she is visiting me in Wirral so I'll be glued to this screen awaiting your updates!

Well, I managed to avoid Sheddie during the DC at Wimbledon, but Queens is a bit smaller, so it may be more difficult this time...
