Week 24 - Futures F1 (10k) - Gausdal, Norway

Tournament Key : M-FU-NOR-01A-2008
Dates : 09 Jun to 14 Jun 2008
Venue : Gausdal, Norway
Surface : Hard

Ed Seator should be one of the top seeds here.

Matt Illingworth and Phillip Barlow on the alts list. Barlow is on a few Alts list so will have to see where he pops up. My bet is in Spain.

Poldma is quite good. Was a top Junior once (beat Coxy in three sets in Junior Wimbledon 2005) and now plays for a college - I think it's a terrible draw in the form of an unranked player.

Still, Kyle surely has a great chance.

Not very surprised at Kyle losing. I've read in many places that Poldma was a good bet for the top 150, but chose to go to college instead. Probably because of the lack of funding...

R1
Edward Seator (1) WR 503 v Patrik Rosenholm (Swe) (q) WR 1810
Matthew Illingworth WR 1027 v Jaak Poldma (Est) (q) UNR

Winner of he above matches to play each other in R2.

Ed & Shane Le Porte are the top seeds in the doubles, Matt & Ralph Grambow are the 4th seeds, and they are scheduled to meet in the semis.

Given comments about Poldma above, what a rubbish draw!

Ouch!

What looked to be a good choice of tournament with no top 500 players is turning into a disaster with the nightmare draws they've got, and it doesn't look like Ed will get past the second round here

What a nightmare - looks like Poldma is on for the triple Brit bash here cry Just the draw Edward needed having done some what you'd think was inspired tournament selection and got himself the no. 1 seeding. Hope he at leasts gets through R1 and gets a point, and you never know in R2, but I don't like his chances.

Lovely! clap.gif This shows some form, I guess. Good luck against Poldma and I'm sure he is beatable.

A nice way to celebrate the announcement of his Wimby Q WC smile.gif - I wouldn't be surprised to see him get thrashed by Poldma too, but we don't know exactly how well Poldma is playing and Edward seemd to do pretty well in Surbiton, so I hold out some hope that he might manage to prevent the triple Brit-bash!
