18 two weeks back. Born in Gibralter, lives in Bicester according to the ITF. But plays practically all her tennis in Spain
She's consistently performed and risen in rankings this year-she usually has won a MD round, previously having come through qualies. This is her second SF, and she is really now beginning to step up against top 500 players, which is very encouraging. She's now high enough ranked not to have to qualify every time, which I suspect helps.
Her SF will put her into the top 700 for the first time. If she could win the thing, top 650.
Shame that she lost but still...GO AMANDA! She seems to be very solid, before regularly making 2nd rounds of 10Ks and over the last year regularly making the later stages too - very impressed.
