Qualifiers will be placed later this evening, assuming the qualifying competition manages to finish by then.
Entries close at 0900GMT that's 10am BST on Sunday 25th May (2008). We WILL NOT accept any entries beyond that point.
the usual instructions apply. Please make sure you've pick every match (only once). There is a handy checklist at the bottom of the entry form to make sure.
Also, please make sure you use exactly the same name as you have in previous pickems as otherwise this mucks up the overall rankings sheet. We try to spot any changes but won't catch them all, and it is a bit of a pain (*nudge**nudge* Sheddie who may or may not manage to come up with a new name every single pickem ). If in doubt as to how you entered last time, please look it up on the overall rankings sheet/previous pickems all of which can be found through the link above.
Once again I plea for new members to have a go at this. It takes about 5-10 mins to enter without any research. And as long as you like with research. However the extra interest and enjoyment of matches that you otherwise wouldn't care about is where the fun lies. On top of the actual tennis there's always the fun of watching the never-ending battle between Sheddie and Count (maybe he can finally beat the Shedman in a Gran Slam); and of course the excitement of seeing who will end up with the gorillas (last place has become almost as coveted a spot as first place).
Any questions, ask below. Enjoy the game, lets see if we can leave BT.net top of the leaderboard at the end of the fortnight.

James, it is surprisingly thought-provoking. I always find I know far less about tennis than I thought I did.
Silver, realistic with Murray's chances is a trend for most of us in the BT team...the AM.com crowd are far more loyal. Though I can't see even them going for a Murray W against Rafa.
As for the organisation etc, Steven deserves the lions share of the praise for that. And I agree, it is really great.

UPDATE (being pasted into all boards with more than 5 entrants so far so apologies for the lack of formatting!)
Many thanks to those of you who have already entered. I am writing to confirm that the following changes to the draw have been made as a result of player withdrawals today:
Tsonga has been replaced by (LL) Luis Horna (PER), who will play Scoville Jenkins (USA) in R1 Fognini has been replaced by (LL) Josselin Ouanna (FRA), who will play Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) in R1 Kiefer has been replaced by (LL) Marc Lopez (ESP) who will play (26) Jarkko Nieminen (FIN) in R1
Anyone who started their entry after about 18.10 GMT today will have used an entry form with these changes already made.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ENTERED
Don't worry, it is definitely NOT essential to enter again - if you don't change your entry, you will simply score points if Horna wins any matches you predicted that Tsonga would win, and so on. None of the withdrawals so far are likely to affect many of you that much.
However, if you do want to make changes, please do a full new entry at http://www.britishtennis.net/Competitions.html if at all possible (this will only take a minute or two if you printed your original entry and can transfer the picks off that) and put NEW in after your name so that we know the entry is a replacement.
Although it says on the 'entry successful' page that minor changes can be made by email, it will take us a lot longer to start doing results if we are swamped with email changes, so we'd much rather you didn't do it that way unless you have no other option, e.g. if you weren't able to print your original entry and can't remember your other picks. If that was the case, we'll try to process any emailed changes. Changes by PM on this board will probably NOT get picked up, so please don't do it that way, whatever you do.
LATER CHANGES
If there are any even later changes between now and when play starts, I probably won't have time to come around the boards again, but if you notice any and want to make any further changes to your entry, please follow the advice above. Nobody will be able to make changes after play starts.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Just sent my entry in and taken a few risks, especially on the fact I've given up on predicting a certain few players to do ridiculously well and to go out in the early rounds instead.... cue them going on to reach the latter stages.... and I'm really not sure about my choice of winner
I can't be bothered to fill all those picks again since I don't have a printer and didn't think of taking a screenshot! I'll let things take their own course - as such you need a lot of luck for these things.
