Oh my, it's catching and it's all my fault. LOL I quite like that one actually, more subtle than most ...

It's very odd to see ITF updated part way through a session, so maybe this means play was suspended for rain and they've given up for the day. They were both 2nd match on though, so Chris must have at least started.

Priddle went down 6-1 6-3 cry

Main draw looks pretty good

Myles gets his first point of the year smile.gif He will probably play the no. 6 seed next, but this is another of those tournaments this week, like Kalamata, that is insisting on playing adjacent matches in the draw on different days, thus giving one player a rest between R1 & R2 and not the other.

L32: Myles Blake WR 736 beat Ilie-Aurelian Giurgiu (ROU) WR 949 by 7-5 4-6 6-3 smile.gif
L32: (Q) James Feaver WR 1019 v (WC) Adrian Vodislav (ROU) UNR - Wednesday

Good to see Myles picking up points again after his start to the season, and Feaver really should get another point as well against an unranked Romanian WC.

Still don't understand why Feaver seems to try and play on the clay all the time when he has a game that looked to be suited more to the faster courts, with good attacking groundstrokes and good touch at the net?

Well done Feaver for getting another point which must count as a successful week for him so far.

There's a good chance that Myles can make the QF's here if he can find some of the form he had last year, and Brits have been pulling up upsets all over the place over the last few weeks so that must give Feaver a chance of winning as well...

That said... I'm not expecting either of them in the quarter finals

He probably should win the match but hasn't been having any real good results this year, and has lost to worse ranked players this year, but hopefully he can win this match

That's Myles to you (to avoid confusion with Miles Kasiri!), but yes, hopefully.

However, I remember Renavand from GB Futures a couple of years ago when we was ranked in the 300s, so he's probably under-ranked ... on checking, he only played 6 matches last summer and was then out between September and January. He did lose 5 & 1 to Lee Childs last year, but back in 2005/6 he beat players like Bloomers, Del, Sherwood & Matt Smith, who was good back then!

Looking at his results this year, he's nowhere near his best, but it's going to be a much harder match than the comparative rankings make it look.
