The Mexicans have repeated last week's trick of not updating the qualifying scores (there's still a result missing from last week's qualifying sheet on the ATP site) but it's possible to tell from Monday's OoPs who won in QR2:
QR2: (q3) Kyle Brassington WR 1233 beat Raul-Isaias Rosas-Zarur (MEX) UNR QR2: Christopher Harfield UNR lost to Daniel Serur-de la Torre (MEX) UNR QR2: (q9) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1477 beat Yevgeny Perepelov (USA) UNR
FQR: (q3) Kyle Brassington WR 1233 v Daniel Serur-de la Torre (MEX) UNR FQR: (q9) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1477 v (q4) C Klingemann (USA) WR 1304
L32: Neil Bamford WR 827 v Qualifier
Neil has a nice section with (q8) Peter Shults (USA) WR 623 the first seed he could meet, in R2.
Kyla & Jonny play both singles and doubles (together v the no. 2 seeds) on Monday.

I don't believe this - what has happened to Kyle during this latest trip?!
FQR: (q3) Kyle Brassington WR 1233 lost to Daniel Serur-de la Torre (MEX) UNR by 6-3 2-6 6-3 FQR: (q9) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1477 v (q4) C Klingemann (USA) WR 1304 by 6-7(2) 6-1 6-2
They lost 4 & 5 in the doubles too, which actually isn't too bad given that they were playing the no. 2 seeds.
Still, one bit of good news is that Kyle got a LL place though it's hard to see him doing much with it on this form, unless S-dlT is a lot better than his ranking suggests.
L32: Kyle Brassington WR 1232 v Luis David Martinez (VEN) WR 817 L32: Neil Bamford WR 827 v (Q) Mario Cuellar-Gonzalez (ESP) WR 1247
Both are due to play on Tuesday.

True, but with money for trips like that in short supply, if the Mexican courts were likely to be the same, why not go somewhere else. Maybe they didn't know the Mexican courts were likely to be the same. Maybe courtcrazy will come back and tell us one day

That looks like a much better performance from Kyle even though he lost - it must be frustrating to go to these far-off places and come away without any ranking points, especially when we know that courtcrazy's boys choose their tournaments very carefully, even if (see above) they might have got the surface wrong this time.
Shults, WR 613, lost 2 & 3 to James Ward in R2 in Little Rock earlier this month, having just snapped a 7-match losing streak in R1. He lost to Kennaugh in Sweden last year, but took 8 games off Jamie Baker in a US Future this time last year, which is quite impressive.

Well done to Bamford for getting another ranking point and he is the kind of player who gets a point when it is available. Hope to see him in the QFs but I don't remember him beating a higher ranked player in the recent past so it's going to be difficult
Doesn't look to have worked out this trip for Kyle and Jonathon which is a shame as they are both nice people and I'd have liked them to have come away with a point each from this trip but it doesn't look like the courts have suited them too much.
