Week 13: ATP Masters Series, Miami

Stupid website: links to the 2008 draws and gives you the 2007 ones.

Still no news of whether Boggo's made the draw, despite posts to the contrary

Looks like he needs one more withdrawal as it stands.

He did make it:

(10) Luis HORNA (PER) vs Stephane BOHLI (SUI)
Alex BOGDANOVIC vs (18) Viktor TROICKI (SRB)

Trociki beat Alex 4&2 in Belgrade last month

Troicki (WR 116) beat Boggo convincingly 4 & 2 in the Belgrade Challenger a few weeks ago. Revenge would be sweet, but perhaps not that likely.

I don't see how he could have got much easier to be honest. To be in a section with the 10th and 18th seed is pretty good going when there is only 24 seeds. Clearly it will be a big ask as the previous result shows, but if he serious about even getting back to the top 150 let alone going near top 100 he has to win these.

true the seeding numbers arnt bad but iu would have prefered a player who hadnt beaten him easily a few weeks ago!

from what i can see troicki didnt play at iw or sunrise so maybe al will have the advantage with more hard court play recently.

3rd match today, ct 10, 10am local start

In the main draw, Andy has Ancic (eek!) or Simon in R2, then potentially:

R3: Monaco
R4: Undertaker (looks like the ATP corrected their rankings - they had him 5th and Pics 4th this morning) or Kohli
QF: Pics or Youzhny (etc)
SF: Fed or Duckboy

Once again, Rafa and Nole are in the other half.

Apart from the Ancic banana skin (which he shouldn't really trip on), this seems as good a draw as he had at the AO. (oops!)

Tough first match. I know he beat Ancic not long ago, but Mario is recovering his form recently I think.

He's on and after saving a break point on his 1st service game he has taken one of the 2 break points on Troicki's. 2-0 Boggo, something tells me this is going to be a close one.
