Both Alex B. and Jamie B. are signed up and in mains. Bloomfield is 17th on the alternate list and will play qualies. Goodall is 21st on the list. Ken Skupski(haven't heard of him, #669) is 48th.
By the way, here is our 2008 highlight video from our tourney this year. Next year we will have some of your boys here hopefully.
Wow, don't remember a tournament being hosted in Puerto Rico. It must have been a while since there has been one there, I guess.
Skupski is an up and coming player, Craig. Used to study at Louisiana State University but went pro last year and has bettered his ranking by around 900 places in nine months.
Since when have the Yankee tennis powers that be ever listened to a bunch of Brit fans?
To confirm the answer to JL's question, the playing surface is hard.
As has been pointed out above by TBar, Boggo & Jamie B are in the MD. The last time I looked at the entry list, four players ahead of Bloomers in the Alternates list had already scratched, leaving (only!) 12 in front of him, & Josh is immediately behind him, although it seems at the moment that he's "not signed", whereas Skups is, 48th alternate or no! Looks as though Rainer Schüttler will be the top seed by quite a margin. Gilles Muller is there, too, & likely to be seeded seventh in the singles. Wonder if that means Delgo will show up for the doubles - & whether Bloomers & Skups (or anybody else) will give it a go...
Judging by the web site for the Palmas del Mar Country Club, it's a plusher venue than I imagine a fair few of the players will be used to playing! I just hope there's a live scoreboard to match the posh surroundings (Coca-Cola & McDonald's are among the sponsors! )...

I don't understand that statement either! May be first time in Peurto Rico but definitely not first time in the Caribbean - A quick search shows challengers held in Bermuda almost annually since 1993.

Then take it up with the tournament organisers, mjd! I was merely quoting the slogan at the bottom of the tennis page of the country club site in response to the first paragraph of Arka's post!
Jamie Baker has withdrawn (hope he's OK?). Both Richard and Josh would have made the cut if they have signed in, I can't see how Josh can have made that but hopefully Richard did, maybe others (Ken) flying out for doubles?
Neither Richard or Josh are in the qualy draw....so either both failed to sign in for the MD or they are in !
There are only 14 players in the qualy draw with the 8th seed ranked WR758....James Ward and Kasiri should have opted for this over the USA Futures perhaps ?
