Week 12 - Womens ITF (25K) - Sorrento, Australia


Mel has moved to this Western Australian resort, where there is also a Mens Futures event with British interest, and opens her campaign against an experienced Japanese player, who was ranked as high as 143 in the world 18 months ago.  Both of last week's finalists are potential semi-final opponents. Mel's quarter is:

Mel will be up to around 180 in doubles, compared to a career high of 160. Her singles career high is 166, and she will be around that figure again in 2 weeks time (after Miami) when the points get added.
