I wonder where Ross and Kyle have gone this week?

FQR: (q16) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1502 v (q3) Massimo Capone (ITA) WR 904

Capone played two Brits last year, both in a Future in Greece - he thrashed Rushby 1 & 0 then lost 4 & 4 to Kasiri the following day.

Make that 20 Brits in main draws this week!

FQR: (q16) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1502 beat (q3) Massimo Capone (ITA) WR 904 by 3 & 2 biggrin

This is unofficial, but comes from authoritative-looking ITalian site tennisoncourt.com:

"Massimo Capone č stato battuto nell'ultimo turno di quali 6-3 6-2 dall'inglese Jonathan Kinsella (n1502 Atp)"

i.e. Massimo Capone was beaten in the final qualifying round 6-3 6-2 by the Englishman Jonathan Kinsella WR 1502.

Great win and excellent scoreline if it's correct. biggrin

If true then that is a great win for Kinsella but I can't help feel that Capone may have known about a LL spot beforehand as it does seem like the kind of score when you tank a match

But if not then it's a brilliant win for Kinsella and hopefully he can get another point this week if he gets a nice draw

Actually, it's a lot better than what he could have had though as 4 Qs got seeds so at least he avoided them

True, but Chvojka thrashed Kyle 2 & 0 in that Gatineau QF and went on to win the title, beating the players seeded 3 and 5 here on the way.

It can't have been that because Capone passed up the LL place. Maybe he was a bit injured by the end and that explains both the loss and not taking up the LL place.

I think Chovjka is the worst draw myself.

Can I have an opinion?
