I can never quite work out why Futures and Challengers in Canada are so weak, nor why more Brits don't go for main draw places there, but we do at least have five in qualifying, three of them seeded to qualify and in sections without any other ranked players.
QR1: Christopher Harfield UNR v Eros Lampioni (ITA) UNR
QR2: (q1) Ross Connolly WR 1246 v Jean Olivier Hebert (CAN) UNR QR2: (q4) Kyle Brassington WR 1403 v Alexandre Demarais (CAN) UNR or Pedro Ast (VEN) UNR QR2: (q6) Timothy Bradshaw WR 1492 v Sam Jonas (CAN) UNR or Steven Kane (USA) UNR QR2: Harfield or Lampioni v Alain Humblet (CAN) UNR (in Bradshaw's section) QR2: (q9) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1492 v Vlad-Victor Ghinda (CAN) UNR or Byron Weinberg (CAN) UNR

FQR: (q1) Ross Connolly WR 1246 beat Yevgeny Perepelov (USA) UNR by 3 & 4 FQR: (q4) Kyle Brassington WR 1403 beat Mihai Parvan (ROU) UNR by 6-3 7-6(6) FQR: (q9) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1492 beat (q8) Tinotenda Chanakira (ZIM) WR 1492 by 3 & 2
For the main draw, WRs shown are updated to be this week's rankings. Poor Ross didn't get the greatest reward for qualifying ...
L32: (Q) Ross Connolly WR 1244 v (1) Timo Nieminen (FIN) WR 460 L32: (Q) Kyle Brassington WR 1404 v (Q) Simon Cauvard (FRA) WR 1404 L32: (Q) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1492 v (5) Florin Mergea (ROU) WR 540
All to be played on Wednesday.
Nieminen had a CH of 254 in 2003. He beat Bloomers in the SFs of the Sheffield Future in January. Cauvard, a rare ambidextrous player, has an odd record against Brits - in the past year, he has shocked Matt Smith (twice), Rushby & Flan, all in straight sets, but has lost to Joshua Milton and Chris Priddle ...
Mergea had a CH of 243 in 2005, a year after he failed to double bagel Adam Lownsbrough (it was 0 & 1) and he has been playing Challenger qualifying recently, which is probably the only reason he hasn't got that many points at the moment. He is on a 4 match losing streak against Brits stretching back to summer 2005, but his losses were against Murray, Boggo, Big Arv & Jamie B, so this probably won't be much consolation to Kinsella!
The winners of the first two matches above play each other, so it's a pretty rubbish draw all round.
Doubles
Brassington & Kinsella v Bondaz & Colangelo (ITA) Harfield & Cauvard (FRA) v (2) Jobe & Wettengell (USA)

Thats an AWFUL draw!
Kinsella still looks worth more than his 1 ranking point suggests i reckon, but Mergea will prove way too strong!
L32: (Q) Ross Connolly WR 1244 lost to (1) Timo Nieminen (FIN) WR 460 by 2 & 1 L32: (Q) Kyle Brassington WR 1404 beat (Q) Simon Cauvard (FRA) WR 1404 by 4 & 4 L32: (Q) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1492 beat (yes, beat!) (5) Florin Mergea (ROU) WR 540 by 6-3 3-6 6-1
A good win for Kyle, but a stunning win for Kinsella against no. 5 seed and former top 250 player Mergea - Mergea's 5-match losing streak against Brits now reads Andy Murray, Boggo, Big Arv, Jamie Baker and Jonathan Kinsella.
L16: (Q) Kyle Brassington WR 1404 v (1) Timo Nieminen (FIN) WR 460 L16: (Q) Jonathan Kinsella WR 1492 v Todd Paul (USA) WR 875
Nieminen had a CH of 254 in 2003. He beat Bloomers in the SFs of the Sheffield Future in January and Ross in R1 here. Paul has only played a Brit once, losing to Big Arv in Bronx Ch Q in 2006, but has already reached a Futures Final this year.
Doubles
L16: Brassington & Kinsella beat Bondaz & Colangelo (ITA) by 6-3 1-6 (10-6) - quite a day for these two! L16: Harfield & Cauvard (FRA) lost to (2) Jobe & Wettengell (USA) by 1 & 5
QF: Brassington & Kinsella v Arevalo & Paul (who knocked out the no. 3 seeds)
