The draw is only 32 strong & they're not among the eight seeds, which I find a trifle puzzling, as the pairs who are seeded, though not necessarily established, have at least one partner with a lot of doubles experience under his/her (usually his!) belt & Liezel Huber has as much as any, she having a current doubles ranking of 1 (!!!), while Jamie, of course, is the Wimbledon mixed doubles champion (along with Jelena Jankovic), though that evidently counts for nought, as it's not listed in his profile on the site! Their first-round opponents are a Spanish (Medina G)/Argentine combination & appear to have a fair bit of experience themselves (she's 25 & been on the circuit for a few years, while García, at 30, is only a year younger than Huber), but Jamie & Liezel should have the beating of them. That said, given the way things have worked out so far for the Brits in Melbourne, I hope my saying that is not going to jinx them in anyway!
No mixed in tomorrow's OoP, so I presume Friday is the earliest we can expect to see them in action.
P.S. Before anybody points it out, I know no ranking points are awarded for MD competitions, more's the pity...

Last chance saloon for Jamie M & Team GB at the AO : no sign of him & Liezel in tomorrow's OoP, so I assume they'll be playing on Saturday. For God's sake give us something to cheer Down-Under, Jamie... ... or (more)
