Week 3 - Futures (10k) - Sunderland Great Britain

Qualies Draw

http://www.itftennis.com/mens/tournaments/drawsheetbyRound.asp?event=1100096599&tournament=1100016960

Bloomfield, Kasiri, Eaton, Skupski, Bamford, Irwin all in MD, with probably Brewer and Allinson as well.

Milton entered but not in qualies draw, maybe wild card? Any other guesses for wild cards?

George Coupland won his first match against a Latvian 6-0 6-0 then in his second match in the first game he pulled his groin whilst break point up & retired injured trailing 0-5, another frustrating injury for Coops, fingers crossed he wont' be out for long, he was in good form again after his wrist injury that put him out of the British Tour masters & will be feeling gutted with this setback.furious

Bit of a poor result from Jag Sagoo to start the year there, but Cauvard did beat Matt Smith last year so he can't be all that bad.

Think a lot of players were caught out by the early entry date here.

The top 6 seeds in qualifying (including Rushby & Flanagan) would have been direct entrants to the main draw if they had entered.

Some very interesting matches, Kasiri v Skupski being the pick.

Doubles main draw here.  I see Bloomers & Skupski are playing together & are the second seeds! clap.gif  There are five other all-British pairings, while Tom Rushby has teamed up with the German, Ralph Grambow, & they are the third seeds.

Oops, just noticed wolfie beat me to it! ashamed  That said, the ATP version is rather easier to print off to keep track of the results as they happen! wink

Close game there with Kasari vs Skupski. Such a shame they had to meet each other. Also surprised to see Smethurst beat Kinsella
