Wild Cards have been announced for this event next week and suprisingly after last years rebuke Naomi Broady has one.
Other WC's go to Olivia Scarfi, Danielle Brown & Natasha Marks. They join Anna Smith, Emily Webley-Smith, Liz Thomas & Amanda Elliott in the main draw.
Qualifying WC's for Steph Cornish, Olivia Howlett, Lisa Whybourn & Sophie Proctor.
Quite a weak draw here so hopefully we can pick up some points.
Well, Naomi did play well towards the end of last year when not LTA supported, reaching the SF of her last futures.
I think a '3 month' gap is appropriate as a 'message'. I'm quite pleased they aren't going down the ruining her career path route. Everyone deserves a chance- and her performances after suspension were a good way of saying she was serious about her tennis. Best of luck and I hope she keeps the effort up and gets into the top 500 this year.
she is really under-ranked! i cant believe she is only at 700 mark she is so much better! although i think it is a bit early to be accepting wildcards with the whole year to come although it is birthday to birthday with each player not jan to december

I can't see Olivia Scarfi's result above (I have been known to miss something right under my nose though!) but she must have beaten the 4th seed, Menna, as she is down to play Elena Kulikova tomorrow.
Another result missed out Amanda Elliot won the all Brit clash v Danielle Brown 7-6(3), 6-1.
