Andy's Live Ranking During Week 1 (Doha)

The New Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Andy reached the final in Doha last year, so he's defending 175 points. As his 19th result is only a 25, this means he loses 150 points and drops back three places, past Haas, Berdych and Blake to 14 furious.gif.

Canas, Moya and Ljubicic are the other players dropping places.

A tournament win could see Andy climbing up as far as 9. There's only Robredo among those ahead of him who's playing this week, so a worst case would be 10.

The only threats behind Andy are Baghdatis, Youzhny and Moya

He needs to finish in the top 12 after this week, so if he reaches the 4th round of the Aussie Open, he will avoid meeting one of the top 4 seeds.

The Updated Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Youzhny and Ljubicic both won their first round matches in Chennai and Doha.  Neither gain any points as they have higher 18th scores.

A win for Andy will also not improve his points as he'll only get 25 points for it, and that's already his 19th score.

stunned at the Baghdatis result....when I saw Haase at the DC thought he was just a big serve and rather wild groundstrokes but he's obviously matured a lot

Robredo's result isn't a surprise to me..when the forehand's on song, Calleri is v dangerous and Robredo's form end of last season didn't look that great to me even though the results he got suggest otherwise

So if Andy wins his quarterfinal tomorrow he should be ranked 13, right?
