Doubles ranking points

Has anyone else noticed that you don't get any ranking points for a Last 16 win in doubles on the futures tour?

Yes, Wolf, I'd noticed that some of my points scores for the UK men didn't tally with the official rankings; I'd just assumed I'd made errors, and changed my totals. However, I read your post a few minutes ago, after having posted a wee piece about the good results in Israel today, in which I allocated 6 points to Chris Eaton's total, IN ADDITION TO 3 POINTS FOR LAST WEEK'S QUARTER-FINAL. Your comment sent me to the ATP web-site which confirms that you were right - no points for Futures doubles quarter-finalists. I don't like that idea; I think it'll still further reduce interest in entering F doubles - not the attitude we want to encourage, surely?

I append the link and relevant statement for your interest:

*** ATP Doubles Ranking points will be awarded in Futures Tournaments beginning with
the semi-final round.

Even a single point given would be sufficent I think, just to keep the interest there.
