Good praise from Annacone about Paul Hutchins which is very good to read....one comment though which is hard to see...
"I believe that there has been real progress in British tennis over the past 12 months but there is still a lot of work to be done," said Annacone.
If you take Murray(s) out of the equation then is he talking about the rise in top class doubles players like Aucks, Ross Hutchins etc...because we only have 6 active players within the top 500 never mind the top 150.
Or maybe he sees the advances of people like Kasiri, Seator, Ward, Cox who are all up hundreds of places in the rankings...but balance that with the likes of Bloomfield, Goodall, Boggo who are all significantly down since last year.
He may also be seeing structural changes taking shape like having top coaches in Hutchins working away....what did they say in May....4 Brits within the top 20 by 2012...maybe they have a secret group of 14-15 year old lads hidden in an underground bunker living off veggies and water and learning from Gilbert DVDs !!!!!
He seems positive and he is a winner so prepared to give him another 2-3 years....!
