Jamie B's Live Ranking During Week 45 (Nashville Challenger)

The New Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Jamie's not defending points this week, so starts by climbing five places from 231 to  226. Villagran, Healey, Waske, Soeda and Mertinak are the players who drop behind.

Greul, Kubot, Ram and Przysiezny also drop places.

Tim's not defending any points, so climbs two to 279 as the week begins.

Richard's defending 6 points, and drops back behind Josh, so Josh returns to the BRITISH NUMBER 4  slot.

Players who can overtake Jamie this weekend:
no- one

The Updated Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Junquera and Przysiezny lost yesterday.

What If:

Jamie plays Jenkins: time for revenge for Sacramento!
Jamie's got 172 points and is sitting at 226

If Jamie beats Jenkins, he'll have 178 points

He will overtake Przysiezny and Istomin
He could overtake:
Prpic if he loses to Cruciat in Tunis
Mello if he loses to Reynolds in Nashville
Dorsch if he loses to Ryderstedt in Nashville
Ryderstedt if he loses to Dorsch in Nashville
He could be overtaken by:
no- one

Best case 221, worst case 223

If Jamie loses,

He could be overtaken by:
Villagran,  who plays Zeballos in Ascuncion.

Best case 226, worst case 227.

Jamie won and Mello and Dorsch lost, while Prpic withdrew, meaning he advances all the way to 221 biggrin.gif -this would be a new career high if he could hang on to it.

Belluci lost ahead, Okun lost behind, while Brands and Ram climb off the table, Trujillo wins but doesn't advance and Ryderstedt keeps one step ahead of Jamie. Villagran climbs to sit level on points with Jamie; Bohli, Cruciat and Snobel also advance hmm.gif

What If:

Jamie's got 178 points and is sitting at 221

If Jamie beats Vemic today, he'll have 186 points

He will overtake Junquera and Kubot
He could overtake:
Ryderstedt if he loses to Reynolds in Nashville
Trujillo if he loses to Lapentti in Guyaquil
He could be overtaken by:
no- one

Best case 217, worst case 219

If Jamie loses,

He could be overtaken by:
no- one

That's great news - I hadn't had a chance to check against the actual rankings, and had to rush out. Must have missed something. I like missing things like that!

NEW CAREER BEST!!!!!

- um, I have a horrible feeling that it might be the ATP that has it wrong cry.gifcry.gif

Looks like they have "lost" 13 points that Daniel Brands won for reaching the quarter finals in the Fergana Challenger on 21 May (http://stevegtennis.com/results/2007/ch-fergana.txt)

which accounts for one of the discrepancies. Has Brands been deducted this result for any reason??

I'm still searching for the second issue.

- and the other discrepancy was Dupuis, whose 55 points for winning Fergana have also beeen "lost". Expect the ATP to change the rankings later in the week.

Sorry Jamie - your career high looks like it's a computer error. furious.gif
