Week 45 - Futures F21 (15K) Redbridge, GB

Very strong entry list....only Josh Goodall makes the cut

I'm considering going to this on Tuesday/Thursday, yet to make up my mind as to whether it'll be worth it, what do ppl think ?

there's a womens 10K on at the same time, that begins on Wednesday....if I go on Tuesday I'd see Josh, 4 Brit wcs and possibly 3-4 qualifiers plus women's qualifying

If I go on Thursday I'd probably see Josh in quarters and maybe Skupski/Eaton/junior player will also make last 8 plus womens 10K rd2 which would likely to feature Liz Thomas, Webley-Smith, Naomi Broady, possibly Jade Windley and Joc Rae

Week 45 - Redbridge 10K

This is a 15K, not a 10K.

Don't make a decision now and wait till the women's wild cards are announced. If you see that there some players in qualies whom you want to check out (Rae, Ren etc.), you could go on Tuesday. If all the exciting players get wild cards, maybe you could go on Thursday instead?

Does that make any sense? hmm.gif

Week 45 - Redbridge 15K

good idea thumbsup.gif when will womens wcs be announced...will it be by Thurs/Frid of this week ? just that I have to notify people at work when I'm taking holiday, 2 working days in advance

Ren should be in qualies...if Rae and/or Nebojanko/Windley are in there aswell then I'll probably go on Tues

No idea about that. You better ask someone in the women's forum.

Ren should be there in qualies, but if she does well next week you never know.

Vlad Voltchkov will be doing this, so that's someone no one will want to draw.

what, you mean this little snippet!

Tropicana is the title sponsor of the British Tour for the second year and is becoming well established within the tennis family. As part of the Tropicana British Tour a bi-monthly Player Award has been created to give the players some kind of recognition for their good performances.

The LTA has given the second Award to 16-year-old Helen Parish, who impressed the panel with her confidence and aggressive play at Nottingham and Tunbridge Wells. At Nottingham, which was only her second tournament of the year due to an ankle injury, Helen qualified, won a main draw match and lost to the No. 1 seed Melissa Berry 64 61. At Tunbridge Wells, Helen won three main draw matches, before losing to the No. 1 seed Rebecca Llewellyn 62 63.

"I am very glad the panel chose Helen to receive this Award, as she did extremely well at Nottingham and Tunbridge Wells. Helen wasn't overawed by her opponents, but instead demonstrated her determination and confidence at these events," says Peter Greatorex, Tropicana British Tour Manager.

"I feel very privileged to be given this Tropicana Player Award, as due to my injury, Nottingham was my second tournament of the year and to win this Award makes all my hard work in the last six months worthwhile," says Helen Parish. "I am looking forward to competing in other Tropicana events later this year to help develop my game further."

The Tropicana British Tour is used by many players as a stepping-stone from junior to full time professional tennis. It consists of twenty tournaments with a Masters event at the end of the year.

Yep. That's the only place where I've encountered her name before this.
