Copy of Fitzy's post from Pakistan F1 thread....

'yes im in lahore, draw has been done for qualis, i have got a fairly decent belgium guy who we have been practising with. Playing around 11 today.
Kyle is first on and number 1 seed in qualis. Got a very comfortable draw today and tomorrow, he shouldnt loose many games today.'

QR1 :

BRASSINGTON, Kyle (GBR) 1 v WC RAZA, Syed Zohair (PAK)

FITZPATRICK, Andrew (GBR) v PLATEVOET, Alex (BEL)

Platevoet is unranked and is 4/12 W/L in Futures Qualies / MD in 2007 singles. Never qualified for a MD yet.

Ed Seator beat him 4 & 4 in Italy earlier in the year.

Back now and not in a good mood to be honest. i lost 6-3 6-3, the score would have been reversed if i had served better. He played good on the day and i didnt serve well. You win some you loose some, just a little annoyed as u should be.
kyle won 6-2 6-1 and playing a chineese guy tomorrow and should be ok if he playes ok.
Sum up, dissapointed as i have a person issue going on at the moment with a case against me and now because i have to go back for it, and i got no tennis to think about, its on my mind.

Nice article in the Indpendant from 2006...

http://sport.independent.co.uk/tennis/article1870903.ece

one paragraph...

"Gilbert has been casting his eye this week over new LTA recruits such as Andrew Fitzpatrick and Dan Evans, as well as relatively more experienced players such as David Rice and Naomi Cavaday. They are the youngsters who represent the best chance of providing Murray with some British company in the years ahead. Apart from the 32-year-old Tim Henman and the 33-year-old Greg Rusedski, Bogdanovic is the only other British male in the world's top 200. There are no Britons in the world's top 130 women."

So take heart Fitzy....even Gilberts behind you !!

Chin up Fitzy. I'm sure that everyone on here who plays tennis knows the feeling of bad days on the courts. Soon enough you'll be winning even on the bad days and thats where the confidence will grow buddy

And good luck with solving the issues, too.

Kyle plays the unranked Nai-Zheng Yu of China, who double bagelled his opponent in round one. Yu has a 1-8 record in Futures qualies this year, so Kyle should win comfortably.

Well done Kyle.

Hard luck Fitzy, thanks for your honesty.

Did you manage to sign in for doubles this week? What are the courts like to play a match on?

True, just annoyed that i cooked myself some lunch in islamabad and had salad and it must have been dodgey because the night before my match i was throwing up and all that stuff, but i cant see that as an excuse because it shouldnt be.
Courts are playing very very fast, well the one i played on, and slippy as i couldnt change direction without hitting the deck.
The chineese dude kyle is playing didnt win 0+0 yesterday wrong score posted on some website i guess.
Kyle should be fine after seing his opponents standard!
Were going to sign in for doubles today, hope to get in but will be touch and go because i wont have got in md

lets hope so.Not sure that singles is being played tomorrow, the rumour is that its jus doubles and that singles starts tuesday, because for some reason the final of islamabad is on sunday i think.
hopefully lahore belly has settled down, as im eating again.
