Anne will be top seed here again providing she's ok after last week.
Sarah will be the 7th seed.

Realistically, if she can't cope with the heat at the QFs of the previous tournament I can't imagine that she'll manage 10 matches in two weeks. Still - we live in hope!

We don't actually know if that was the problem. Maybe her back played up and she pulled out asd a precaution

What about the points coming off. The ultimate for a player is year end ranking. That is what goes down in the records each year.

My bad. I meant to say shes 30 away from top 100 with points off. The official rankings say shes 38 points away but the rank update thread updates the ranks weekly so its better. Maybe her body just couldn't cope with the change of climate. Hopefully shes used to it now and can finally get to the top 100.

Bad news from down under, it doesnt look like it was the heat for last week's retirement as Anne as withdrawn from this week's tournament. Just her luck just as things are going well, she gets an injury.

Bad news for Jade as well as she loses 0-6 2-6 to 2nd seed Erakovic
