I thought Jan-Michael Gambill had retired !!!

Baker plays Amercian Ryler De Heart in R1.

In the doubles, Baker teams up with Gambill, and they play Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds in R1, who beat Baker in R1 last week as well.

Challenger form at present is simply shocking. Just at the time he needs to be stepping up to a new level he's instead reverting to a lower level. He is playing like a very good futures player who isn't cut out for challengers.

Sorry if it annoys some who get very defensive of him but he is losing far too many games he should be winning at present.

I agree with the last sentence.

With Baker it seems to be qualify and reach semis or go out in R1.

I think De Heart will spend more of his career ranked higher than Jamie, but its still a match I'd hoped Jamie would pull through.

Craig spoke with Jamie a couple of weeks ago...he's working a lot on his game atm, just not being able to grind out some tough matches.

He'll be speaking more with Jamie soon so will be able to get a bit more info
