Jamie Murray will be linking up with Canada's Mark Knowles at the upcoming Madrid Masters. Knowles has amassed 46 doubles titles and 3 slams in an illustrious career.
Murray told BBC Sport: "It will be very exciting for me, it's a great chance to play with an experienced player."
The partnership is unlikely to be permanent and Knowles, 36, is Murray's fifth partner since he announced his split from America's Eric Butorac.
"Mark has played at the top level for a long time and has won Grand Slams," said Murray.
"I haven't had to change partners too much and the guys I have teamed with, with the exception of Bhupathi, have all been people I have played with previously.
"Although it is better to play with the same person all the time in order to form a good team and for continuity, it is not always possible."
