I don't know very much about him, certainly have never seen him play.
Looking at his playing activity, he seemed to have a good start to the year then has gone out in the first round of several Futures tournaments. So, too soon to say perhaps?
18 years and 4 months old - he has time on his side.
I saw him play at the Hampstead Futures earlier in the summer. He looks to have some nice shots but in that match let his frustration get the better of him. So promising I think but some work still needed, though as Madeline says time is on his side.

I agree with Bethan having watched him for the first time in Hampstead this summer.
Good serve, quite skiddy due to ball toss being a little low which means that it can lack consistency when he's not in the groove. Forehand is the main weapon from the back though it terms of technique, the backhand is the best shot. When I watched him, he missed too many of these...just seemed a little impatient against a v consistent player, trying to go for the really huge shot too early. After a while he got on top of himself and the error count piled up
However this match probably didn't see Sean at his best so may not be entirely fair...the conditions were miserable - very windy and light rain, making it tough for all the players
I don't know about retirement - but the Downe House role is just to cover weeks when Goodall is away. Neil is picking up a couple of weeks there in Jan
Sean married Lisa Sutton in her home town of Chester. They met 15 years ago at the junior nationals in Bournemouth and their wedding was very much tennis related.
