Week 40 - Futures Australia F6 (M) - Sawtell, NSWales

Myles Blake 6th on the entry list in his "home" country.

Incidentally Nick Lindahl down as top seed here in a clay futures tournament the week after reaching ATP Tokyo R2 as a qualifier.

So far the entry list has 18 on it. Do they do byes in futures main draws?

R1: (6) Myles Blake WR 794 v John Warner (AUS) WR 1484

The winner will play Dayne Kelly (AUS) WR 1188 (up 193 places since last week) or an unranked WC, with no. 1 seed Nick Lindahl (AUS) WR 283 (up 25 places since last week) likely to be lying in wait in the QFs.

Myles is the only non-Aussie in his quarter and every single player in the bottom half of the draw is Australian!

Myles and buddy Andrew Roberts are 3rd seeds in doubles. Likely to meet Groth and Klein in semis.

Nice one Mr Blake. Consistent QF.

If he can sneak a win vs Lindahl it'd be great but highly unexpected.

He can maybe expect to hit 750 in the rankings soon depending on what he's defending.
