Very hard to see Harfield qualifying. Perez-perez is ranked 675 and beat James Ward earlier this year. Hope not, but he will probably lose in straight sets.

Barlow has a massive chance to qualify against the unranked 17 year old Gomez-Herrera. Barlow has kept on showing slow signs of gradual progression on the Spanish Futures tour and he needs to take chances like this if he is to get into top 1000 by the end of the year, ready to make the move that Ward and Phillips have done over last year or two.

It was Brooks who was playing Perez-Perez and he retired at 5-2 down

Barlow lost 7-6, 7-6...
