I say Tara.
Only 15 and winning matches against
much higher ranked opponents.

Got to be worthy of real praise.

Has to be Anne runner-up and a win at 50k level. I don't remember a brit doing that since 2000 when i've been folllowing tennis. And then a final quallies round at US open in dominant fashion.

I voted for Anne...but I'm glad Kirsty was considered as she has really found some consistency...maybe Liz Thomas should also have been considered as she has really improved this summer too.

Naomi and Tara both also had great months, it's a shame Naomi couldn't win one of those final round matches, but it's all very promising.

No surprises, Anne is August's player of the month

Has to be Anne who appears to have found form when many had started to give up.

However, I would have but Anne Carreras in instead of Kirsty Wooley as she's had a good, consistent month
