Tim's Live Ranking During Week 35 (US Open)

The New Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)

Tim's defending 35 points from reaching the second round of the USO last year. He drops four places to 95 as a result hmm.gif

Korolev, Horna, Bolelli, Haase, Gabashvilli, Vanek and Goldstein also drop places from points defended from '06.

I'm sure Bethan will take us through Tim's rankings possibilities in Round 1

If Tim wins on Wednesday he'll have 445 points. He would definitely overtake Guccione, Lu and Vanek. he could overtake Pavel, Mirnyi and Roger-Vasselin if they all lose next match. Best case 92 worst case: 95.

If Tim loses he'll be under threat from a bunch of people. The list of those within a single win of overtaking is as follows: Navarro-Pastor, Capdeville, Gabashvili, Ramirez-Hidalgo, Reynolds and Udomchoke. Worst case: 104

Garcia- Lopez and Korolev lose ahead of him, while Capdeville and Ramirez- Hidalgo lose behind smile.gifGabashvili, Kunitsyn and Pashanski advance.

A fabulous win from Tim means a new What if is required so...

If Tim were to WIN his round 2 match, he'd have 485 points. He'd definitely overtake Garcia-Lopez, Korolev and Luczak. He may overtake Kunitsyn and Pavel if they lose their next matches.
best case: 87
worst case: 89

If Tim were to LOSE his second round match. He could be overtaken by Bolelli, Gabashvili, Mirnyi and Sela (with a single win) and a few others with more than that.

Everyone in Tim's world lost yesterday: Good for Tim's ranking, but let's hope he can buck the trend today pray.gif

The losers were: Bolelli, Mirnyi and Patience behind and Horna ahead.

Over to Bethan to tell us who Friday's targets and threats are!

Tim, as you'll all know lost to Tsonga cry.gif

However, the good news is that everyone behind him is also out of the US Open, including Gabashvilli and Sela who were within a win from overtaking on Friday morning smile.gif Pavel, Kunitsyn and Serra lost ahead of Tim.

Pashanski won the Cherkassy Challenger and advances to just five points behind Tim hmm.gif

Tim ends week 35 down one place at 92

Is there any point in carrying on with this table, Rob? Tim has now played his last match from which he can get any ranking points, so the only way is down. Depressing.
