Pella is the player who beat him last week!

He's a junior but he's very good. He made the final.

yeah. We don't know too much about him because he's based in Australia, but he made a pretty smooth transition from juniors to the top 800 seniors.

We're just waiting to see if he can step up to winning futures and hit the challenger tour

Yeh, is he supported by the lta or the australian tennis association at all, because he does travel far and wide?

don't think so. Think he pays his own way or has private sponsorship.

The aussies definitely wouldn't support, and if he had LTA funding he'ld surely have to come to Britain fairly regularly and as far as I can tell he's only ever been here (tournament-wise) for Wimbledon

Another possible reaosn for switching to Venezuela is that its a $15000, not a $10000 as I put in the thread title originally so just for more prize money on offer, and slightly inflated points if he'd won anything!

Oh right, that would make sense about playin in the Uk more. He must have private sponsorship, because it would cost a lot to travel from asia to south america all the time, why he goes to iran all the time is behond me, lol.

probably has an aussie passport as well as a britihs one, though that's a guess, which might make visas etc easier from time to time!

Oh right, i didn't know that, but as you said earlier he has really transformed from juniors to pro very well. I think there is a pretty good chance of him at least making the top 500, sometime in his career.
