Hi everyone,

I'm going to be away sailing the Fastnet Race (from Cowes to Plymouth via the Fastnet rock off the South-West coast of Ireland) for the next couple of weeks:  I'm leavingto join the boat on Thursday Evening, the race starts on Sunday morning at 10am, and should take about five days (non- stop 24 hrs a day!), after which we need to get the boat back to its home Port on the East coast of Essex.

What this means is that I won't be covering the live rankings from Thursday night this week through till Monday the 20th at the earliest.  Bethan will be maintaining her spreadsheets in the meantime, and will keep you updated on the threads, but won't be updating the tables on bt.net.  If anyone can take this on, I'd be most grateful.

Meanwhile if you want to follow my progress in the race, you can go to http://www.fastnet.rorc.org and look for the yacht "Habanero".  We'll have a tracker device on board so you can see where we are and how well or badly we're doing.  We're in Class 2C - among the smaller boats..
