bit of an update i have heard if alex doesnt get a DE here he wont enter the qualies but take extra time to train and also to let his back recover.

I have abit of a bad feeling that the 2 SE spots will be taken up because of the weak field in newport. Qureshi, Zverev and amritaj are all in the quater finals. Hopefully alex will still make the cut .

Braccialli is playing Davis Cup so he will pull out

Quereshi and Norman are playing in Manchester so won't take an SE spot...so lets hope Zverev and Amritraj both lose later!

i am suprised neither hass nor andy have pulled out yet. leaving it a bit late it seems.

so if Brac is out then Alex would only need 1 SE to clear.

From the original acceptance list the following players withdraw:

Robby Ginepri
Tommy Haas
Andy Murray

the next in were Yen-Hsun Lu, Michael Berrer, Frank Dancevic, Daniele Bracciali (but all except Berrer withdraw) so next in Alejandro Falla, Alex Bogdanovic and Paul Capdeville (Paul also withdraw) next in Ilija Bozoljac ... so thats the cut for the Main Draw now (last in Ilija Bozoljac 118 ATP Entry)
