Great match from Soggo (or Soffy if you prefer).

I feel sorry for Booty and Stretch who have suffered in the mens doubles from not having any opponents to play so they'll have to do their third round and probably quarter final tomorrow. (can't quite understand why it wasn't scheduled for later today but there we go). hope Jamie doesn't get too tired but I really want an all (almost) Brit semi in the mixed please

Jamie had 2 Mixed doubles match potentially so could not schedule another Mens match for him...I blame Tipsarevic...he buggered it all up in the Mens doubles!

Will Boggo still go to Newport next week?
I really hope so has he has 40 points to
defend from last year and I so want to see
him in the worlds top 100 and playing main
tour events. He's so good enough to at least
be in the lower part. Hopefully he can get
direct entry into US Open.

Pity there's no ranking points for mixed doubles.

no ranking points?? doesnt it count towards your normal doubles ranking?

i think alex will got to newport, he still has time, he had just hoped to fly out early to adjust.

I don't think you get any points for mixed doubles.
They are only played at the slams.

oh well, still I am sure the money will help, even if alex goes out tomorrow he will still pick up around £17k (b4 tax) for the 2 weeks so not too bad, and will certianly help towards his summer stay in the states.
