Atm, britishtennis.net  is 10th on the google listings for "British tennis."

To get more clicks and therefore, more members it needs to be higher. Google listings are determined mainly on the no of clicks a site gets for google. Eg: the LTA site is top because that gets the most clicks from google searches, even though bt.net is a better resource than the LTA site wink.gif

When you want to access the site....maybe you could do so via google if you have time, to try and help get it higher up the listings

It's also about how many other sites link to you and how "important" they are.

- If we had a link from the bbc, using the phrase "british tennis", then tahtw would shoot us up the lists - similarly if we had a link from andymurray.com, the LTA or the ATP.....

Even without these, getting links from as many places as possible is a great way to get up the rankings: We should set up our own links page, so that we can swap links with a lot of the other amateur tennis sites.

Anyway, everyone who has a blog, a myspace page, a facebook page or whatever should make sure they link to the site. ideally something like: This is a great site for news on british tennis

I use Google to access BT.net whenever I am using the other computer in my home.
