Tim is defending a R3 place from 2006 (75 points, and so drops four places to 54 as the week begins He'll need to get past Federer to regain those points
Also dropping places are: Ginepri, Almagro, Santoro, Simon, Ramirez- Hidalgo and Starace
The Updated Table is posted here (on britishtennis.net)
With Qualifying over, Del Potro, Ramirez- Hidalgo, Vliegen and Spadea are knocked out over the weekend. Delic qualifies and advances
Montanes qualifies and goes level on points with Tim
Perversely, Massuqualifies and drops behind Tim If he'd gone out in the qualies, his 19th score, a 36 would count for his ranking. Now he's qualified, that gets replaced by the 20 he gets for qualifying
If Tim wins today, he'll overtake Grosjean and Almagro and provisionally overtake Volandri.
If Tim loses today he can be overtaken by nobody....yet. His closest threat is Gilles Simon who must get past Andy before thinking about overtaking Tim.

I can just see Tim drawing Fed at Wimbledon again and retiring. He's not played too bad this year but injuries and tricky draws have put paid to his chances of going much further than Wimbledon imo
