All,

I'm struggling to make time to do my shift on a Monday (as you probably noticed) and to post articles.

This is mainly because of the amount of time the rankings is taking up: particularly writing the preview posts each day ("Today, Dorsch takes on Crivoi and will overtake Josh if he wins")

I'm wondering if anyone fancies taking on that role for some or all of the tables, so I can free up time to write an article or two and help Sheddie out on the main site?

Alternatively, can people comment on how useful those posts actually are? Do you read them for all the players and watch out for those results/ cross your fingers/ stick pins into dolls? Or would it not be a big loss if I just put up the outcome at the end of the day: "Today Jamie lost 5 places as half the world overtakes him"

- or maybe I should just be doing it for selected players (Jamie when he's about to hit a career high; Boggo on the verge of RG direct entry; Andy at the top 10......)

To be honest I don't pay attention to all the "ifs and buts" as I get too confused. I watch Andy's position like a hawk and Tim's fairly closely, but I don't feel the need to know at the start of the week every possible combination of where they could end up: similarly for the other Brits. For me, just an indication of who I want to win or lose the next day would be fine.

There is my twopennorth.

I can do more of the if and buts if you'd like.

Personally I do pay attention to them on a day to day basis but not the full week so maybe cut the first post down to '6million can overtake this week, today its only 2million with Tom, Dick and Harry needing to win matches in lalaland and Joe Bloggs needing to win in Tennisville.'

Haas loses in R1, like last year, this time 46 46 to Grosjean

So Andy remains in the top 10.

As for the use of the "what ifs" I think personally if there's more than 3 or 4 players who can have an impact on a player's ranking it's best to wait a bit to see how the tournament fares and the possibilities narrow - I personally like the posts but if there's too much complication I tend to wait a few days and see where we are after the next round has finished.

Gonzo is knocked out of Estoril; Haas is knocked out of Munich

Gasquet in Estoril and Berdych in Munich won.
