What does 'Baiaine' mean? I Googled it and was directed to a thread on AM.com. rofl.gif

Both 'Baiaine' and 'Imoen' are character names in a book my friend wrote. Not only are those two my fav characters but each character was based on one of our friends and I'm Baiaine.

'Imoen' is the name of a charater from Dungeons and Dragons, too.

Showing my ignorance here, but what is Dungeons and Dragons? Is it a book? (As you can probably guess that's not the imoen I mean!)

And I think it's brilliant too, the book is really good as well. My friend's writing a new one at the moment so I get new chapters emailed to me as soon as they're done which is pretty cool!

Oh, something you'll love to hear Arka, in the book I (Baiaine) lead a successful revolution to overthrow the evil Queen biggrin.gif

Dungeons and Dragons started off as a Role Playing Game in the 70s. Manual one and not computer based, obviously. Then they had movies, online versions, books etc.

HEAVILY inspired by Tolkien.

Aha! Just like you'll help the Count and me in toppling David. number1.gif

How great it is that your friend writes fantasy literature. I wrote a fantasy novel as well, but it now rests at the bottom of a river.

Oh no! I'm quite happy with the current administration thank you very much. I just mentioned it because I thought you'd like to know biggrin.gif

Thanks for explaining Dungeons and Dragons.

Hmm... I'll have to find out what 'Imoen' means in Elvish. 'Arka' roughly translates into "Royal Bow".
