From Josh to Alan: Live Rankings in week 16 (Cardiff)

The guys all start the week by shooting up the rankings, as players above them defend serious points:

Josh up 7 to 215;  Jamie up 9 to 236; Jonny also up 9 to 248 and Alan up 7 to 262.

Coria drops a massive 101 points, defending a Monte Carlo QF to drop behind all four of them; Kiefer drops 78 places, defending an MC 3rd round. Vico drops 48 places past Jamie Jonnie and Alan. Others to drop are Clemens, Bohli, Soeda, Istomin, Van Scheppingen, Snobel, Cakl, Simmonds, Ballaret, Junquera, Crugnola, Azzaro, Gonzalez and Vacek.

Josh advances to 213 biggrin.gif, despite being overtaken by Andreev  who won his R1 match in Monte Carlo.

Jamie drops one to 237 as Bacanello overtakes with a win in Cardiff furious.gif

Today in Cardiff, Tourte overtakes Josh if he beats Cervenak (who overtakes Alan if he wins)cry.gif; Snobel overtakes Jamie if he beats Tsongahmm.gif; Vico overtakes Alan if he beats Waske.hmm.gif

Alan drops one to 263, as Cervenak won in Cardiff. furious.gif

Also in Cardiff, Tourte and Vico both lost smile.gif


Today, Josh plays Stadler, who's ranked just 2 below him, in Cardiff.  If he wins he'll advance past Armando and Crivoi, and also past Mamiit if he loses in Bermuda.  If he loses, Stadler will overtake him hmm.gif

In Cardiff,Cervenak advances to within a point of Jonny if he beats Boggohmm.gifOudsema will go level on points with Alan, if he beats Carlsen hmm.gif

In Bermuda this evening, Vemic can overtake Alan by beating Satschko. hmm.gif

Levy and Wilson both beaten by the teenagers in Arkansas; Vemic lost in Bermuda.  So Josh remains at 214.

Niemayer overtakes Alan and draws level with Jonny by beating Boggo and winning Cardiff.  Alan drops to 265.

Updated after comparing with the actual ATP rankings:

I had Clemens defending 24 points that were actually Bohli's. I also missed the fact that Niemayer was a qualifyer in Cradiff, and that Greg was defending 5 points from MC 2006.  The end result of this is:

Josh ended the week one place worse at 215 as Clemens shoudl not have dropped behind him
Jamie ended the week as predicted at 237 (including Futures points which won't be officially credited until next Monday): Bohli goes below him; Clemens above him
Jonnie ends it one better at 250. Bohli goes below him.
Greg is off the table at 287.
