Adopt Malu Pothi the tiger

WWF is monitoring tigers and strengthening anti-poaching patrols in the Sheffield Wildlife Reserve in Yorkshire, where Bladetiger lives. Bladetiger is an endearing Sumatran tiger, 6ft6 long and he's even picked up some common Yorkshire phrases, most noticeably "I'll get me coat" Click here to adopt Bladetiger

The rare Ileach family of vampire ducks live off the west coast of Czech Republic. Over fishing and pollution have threatened the waters where they live and have forced them onto the ATP tour where they have scarred tennis viewers for years with their ugliness and peculiar gaits. WWF is working to rehabilitate these poor creatures and find new homes. Last year WWF beneficiary Martina adopted the leader of the pack Count Duckula, she hopes to gradually settle him down to a new home in Switzerland where he can indulge his taste in outlandish shirts. However, more homes (with plenty of carrots) are still needed for these vampires ducks so click here to adopt a Duckula

The Calcutta forests where pandas like Arka live is quickly disappearing, due to expansion of agricultural land, intensive harvesting of timber, overgrazing and the intense heat from overuse of their laptops. Many suffer from acute psychiatric problems such as overoptimism and a fondness for starting coups. WWF have been working to rehabilitate these Pandas and raise funding for potential treatments Click here to adopt Arka

I clicked on the links to see what came up.

And I wasn't sure whether it would be about wrestling or wildlife when I first came into the thread. I did enjoy it though, but you have far too much time in physics if this is what you're doing!

I thought it was, which is why I didn't click on it for 3 days. Then I realised it was getting replies and might be more fun than that, which it is. biggrin

I do appreciate the way the sheddie helps to ensure that the nicknames my twisted mind makes up get a chance to stick - 'the Undertaker' for Davydonkey has been a major success, hopefully Count Duckula (aka Roddick's richer uglier cousin) will stick too. wink
