It appears that Alex Bogdanovic will be coming back from the US to team up with Peter Lundgren at the new LTA centre at Roehampton. Since Alex has ended his partnership with Mike Raphael there is no need to stay state side. Alex will also fall under Brad Gilberts arm. My information is that by the end of this week a schedule of events and training will be completed.

I spoke to Boggo yesterday and he told me that he will continue to be based in the USA for winter training and tournaments over there...he'll use Roehampton as a base for when he's competing in Europe

I think that it's obvious that training in the USA has helped him a lot with his outdoor hard game - a few good wins over higher ranked players in the Masters and the ATPs and then this title.

I was hoping that he would stay there.

its sensible to mix. His family is based in london. its good for him to use the best of both.

without having saddlebrooks i think it would be hard for him to try this 8 week trip again, at leats after a loss he had somewhere to shoot to, get some traning in and get ready for the next one.

That makes perfect sense....I think the main change is that Peter Lundgren really wants to sit down with Boggo and map some sort of future for Alex !

For the record, Patrick Hughes and Raymond Tuckey were the doubles pairing in the 3-2 win against the Aussies in the 1936 DC Final.

... and I've just realised what you need to win a World/Davis Cup - someone called something silly like Nobby or Bunny. So Boggo and Bloomers should be perfect, or if it has to be the first name that's silly, let's get Ammy F-J in as the water boy! wink

P.S. All the other versions I could think of involved the words "Okun", "choke", "2nd set lost" and "head's gone down" and weren't very nice so I stuck with this one, which is identical to the original bar a few name changes.
