I'm so glad they're back to winning ways. March was a tough month for them, and the transition to clay wasn't going to be easy, and they drew a seeded pair first up.

Very nicely done.

That win is worth 40 ranking points to them - is that 40 each or 20 each?

They just play the big pts so well, looked like a big comeback when the 5th seeds got it from 7-2 to 8-7 but M/B closed it out. Strange match in a way, so many momentum shifts...at the start of the 2nd it looked like it'd be a routine 3 and 3 win for M/B and then after the 2nd set, it seemed that it was going the other way.

Great result, Jamie's best win so far on clay. I know they've beaten higher ranked opponents in the past but it never ceased to impress me how they're able to beat higher ranked world class pairings on such a regular basis. Great chance now to really go deep into this draw, they should fear no one.

They got a horror rd1 draw in Miami but quarters in IW wasn't too shabby !  Wouldn't say it was that bad a month for them scoobs biggrin

Amazing to think that Miami was the first time Booty and Murray have played a tourney without winning at least 3 matches !

I believe it's 40pts each

Scoobs, thats 40 points each.

Jamie moves up to WR38 on the live rankings (both Wassen and Garcia can overtake by reaching semi finals this week).

I'll go and update the live rankings now.

And Butorac is one of the few people (maybe the first) on our live rankings to win a match and lose a place (to playing partner Stretch!!)

Yeah their next match should be kind enough - Behrend/Wassen or Kerr/Skoch

Wassen is 42, between Butorac at 41 and Murray at 43. Murray will go above Butorac though after this week as he is defending a couple of points less than his partner as his lowest countable tournament.

Behrend is 81 in doubles

Skoch is at 34, Kerr is 67

I know it doesn't quite work that way, but if they can take out 29 and 48, then hopefully they could handle the other two teams in the QF.

Semis would be likely be Moodie/Perry (54/21)

Having Jamie around is so much fun - I never used to pay any attention to doubles on a weekly basis like this before

Match stats:

B/M....hit 1 ace (probably down to the slow clay) and 3 dfs. 59% 1st serves and they won 64% on 1st serve and 61% on 2nd serve. Took 3/4 bps.

K/L: hit 1 ace and 3 dfs too. 64% 1st serve, won 71% on 1st serve but just 46% on 2nd serve which cost them. Took 2/3 bps

thanks for the scores, I hadn't realised this match was being played today.

Murray beat Wassen on Saturday so hopefully he now knows Wassen's weaknesses and can use the psychological advantage it surely gives.

Well done Stretch & Bootie

Think this could be a good week for them.
Hope they play together at Wimbledon.
It would be great to see them do well there.

By the way guys, Stretch and Bootie were 1/5 for this match. Think that shows what high regard they are held in generally now that they are such strong favourites against 2 very experienced doubles players.

Also probably an indicator of how much Jamie's profile has increased after his Davis Cup debut. Not just "Andy's brother" any more that's for sure.
