Well folks I made to the press centre and up and running. Met John and his brothers and they have made their way inside. I have got press seats so John got my spare tickets.
I have made my first post on the Davis Cup blog on BT.net....
I have posted it here also......but please visit the Davis Cup page for all the updates, interviews and match reaction.
Andy revealed Thursday that he was 93.42% fit....so will kick of the GBR campaign against the current Dutch No 2 Raemon sluiter.
The Dutchman is 9 years Andys elder and is currently ranked 140. He is a seasoned veteran and even though he has never played Murray before he has had several battles with other British players notably Alex Bogdanovic. (3-1 to the Dutchman in their H2H).
After the teams final hit on Thursday Andy remarked...
"I practised for about two hours yesterday. I felt my groin a couple of times but I've had a few scans and spoken to the doctors and don't feel I'm going to do any more damage".
So we all hope that Andy can produce a quick clinical 3 set winning display.
Tim Henman (GBR) v Robin Hasse (HOL)
Much has been made of Tim's return to the Davis Cup stage with even Andy Murray being unsure about his return. That is now history and the vast majority of fans and press believe it to be a good time for him to return.
Tim is now 32 years old and 13 years old than the Dutch No 1 Robin Hasse. They have never played each other before and Tim is eager to get another win under his Davis Cup belt.
Im obviously very excited to be back and alongside these guys on the team theres a lot of confidence. Weve had good practice sessions and its a big bonus for us that Andys feeling better and were all excited about getting out there and getting started. Im very much looking forward to it.
Tim is a great fan of the Murray brothers...he told his web site again...
I think its certainly something that Greg and I have talked about on a couple of occasions having this type of depth and these types of options a few years ago would have been to our advantage. Its something that excites us all and its something that we all want to take advantage of and the way we can do that is by winning this tie.
There will be a press conference after todays play which will be brought to you here immediately after. Our correspondant is now set-up in the Press Centre and will bring reports, interviews and a personal blog throughout the weekend.
