Richard's at the Davis Cup this week.
He starts the week up one place on where he ended last week, as Fleishman is defending 35 points from Tallahassee last year, and drops behind him.
Fleishman is playing in Tallahassee again, as are Odesnik, Carlsen and Ram. Junquera and Luczak are playing in Monza. Ahead, Echagaray plays in St Luis Potozi.
Today, there's only Odesnik in action: he plays Whitehouse tonight in Tallahassee.

I'm experimenting with a new format - let me know what you think:There's a new column for "yesterday"'s rank, and columns showing changes since the start of the week and since yesterday.
Fleishman, Junquera, Echagaray and Luczak are knocked out Ram advances.
Today, new #1 threat, Odesnik, plays Witten in Tallahassee and overtakes if he wins Ram plays Baccanello, Carlsen plays Smeets
Shouldn't it be the other way round. For example Rajeev Ram is +3. Yesterday's rank was 195, today's 192 which would be -3. However, I think maybe the today's rank and yesterdays rank headings are the wrong way round?

Hmm yeah that does make sense actually. Still something doesn't look quite right to me. Maybe yesterday's rank should be on the left hand side then change then today's rank. Seems easier to follow. Like you can see from left to right, 195 then + 3 places to 192. Or maybe that would make it harder. I dunno.

hmm.....The current idea is to have the start of the week in the middle, and then move outwards towards today.....both for ranking and for number of ranking points........maybe if I had better column titles?
Hmmm possibly. It is possible to see what's going on as it is now, I suppose if you fiddle with it it might only make things worse. I'll leave it up to you as the professional lol.

Better with the extra information, but whilst I agree that 1 is less than 3 (Wow!) and so mathematically the change is negative, in common usage that would be referred to as a rise up the ranking, or an increase in the person's ranking, both of which are 'positive' terms. Similarly a ranking change of 1 to 3 would be a drop/decrease in ranking i.e. negative. There is a case for either way of doing it, and I suppose it depends on whether you are expecting the readers to be mathematicians or not (I nearly wrote 'normal' there!). Personally even though I consider myself to be a number junkie, I would still prefer to see ranking change of 3 to 1 represented as +2.

Odesnik, wins and overtakes Richard down to 183 Ram and Carlsen win and are breathing down Bloomers' neck
Today in Tallahassee, Ram plays De Voest and Carlsen plays Tsonga. Both will overtake if they win.
Off the table, Koellerer(final, Monza), Tsonga(win, Tallahassee), Reynolds (Win, Tallahassee) and Andujar (Win, Monza) can also overtake. A maximum of four can overtake.
Best Case: Bloomers stays at 183, no change on the week. Worst Case: Bloomers drops to 187.
