Norfolk tennis star James Auckland (pictured) has set his sights on winning his maiden ATP tour event after teaming up with a former Wimbledon champion.
Doubles specialist Auckland - who turns 27 on Sunday, split with fellow Brit Jamie Delgado last year but has now joined forces with Australian Stephen Huss - who lifted the doubles title in SW19 in 2005.
Together the pair have already reached the final at Delray Beach in February where they fell to Xavier Malisse and Hugo Armando in a third-set tie break.
And Auckland insisted he's ready to claim his first major title.
"It's been a breakthrough couple of months for me since I started playing with Stephen," he said. "I've learned from the way Stephen applies himself and his calmness in big game situations.
"Our short-term goal is to be ranked in the top 50 doubles partnerships before Wimbledon and we are well on track to do that.
"By the end of the year I want to break 35, which may not sound much but is a big jump.
"To do that we've to start winning ATP tour events. At the moment we're making semi-finals regularly but we've got some time off to improve a few things and are confident we can go on to the next stage."
