Del Potro vs. Nadal.

The match which was on my minds for the last fourteen months is finally here.

I think that Del Potro can take this. This is the sort of surface he thrives upon and he is in the form of his life.

Haha it should hopefully be a good one, I haven't seen JMDP play a full match in the past so looking forward to this one. It'll be in the night session.

Great results for JMDP so far here but personally I think Nadal is a step too far atm. Has JMDP got the consistency to out serve and outhit Nadal for best of 3 sets on a slow hard courts ?

Well, it wasn't me. I like JMDP but though I think he may grab a set, I can't see him outlasting Rafa - yet. Give it another year or so. . .

I agree with Madeline there, next year will be the time he'll have a good chance of winning such matches.

But I'll still go for JMDP. The best thing about him is that he is fearless and isn't starstruck by big occasions. He'll need all of it tonight.

Nadal to miss DC tie

Nadal miss DC tie

hope isnt actually injured for the Del Potro match also i think Del Potro might win since he likes the big occasions!

Hmm, I'd say that next year it might be more 60:40 to Nadal rather than 80:20 as it is atm...

Nadal has pulled out of a lot of DC ties recently, if he's got a slight niggle he prefers to rest it for the ATPs. If he doesn't pull out of Miami it must only be slight. I hope it's not too serious as I'd love to watch a Rafa - Fed final here....well that's if Andy doesn't make it through

Nadal hammers him by 0 and 4.

Next year, though...

Had to be expected though on a slow hard court and given Nadal's current form. On a faster court, it might have been a closer straight sets defeat

Also, Nadal was a lot fresher having played 2 fewer matches, let's not forget.
