British Tour Event Sutton

Slabba is top seed here. Miotto, Seator, Illingworth and Kalaitzis are all entered too.

And.... Jagdev Sagoo. Will be fascinating to see how Jag fares in this field.

http://downloads.lta.org.uk/webservices/TempResults/_TropicanaBritishTour/070318SuttonBritishTour/men.pdf

That's the draw. Jag faces a qualfier called P Francis in Round 1. Drawsheet still lists Jag as a 2.2 when I'm sure he was up to 1.2. If he wins that he plays some French guy called Obama who is world ranked 1525. What's he doing entered? Shouldn't be letting Frenchies in to steal our guy's prize money. Jag's route would be Francis, Obama, Seator, Miotto and then a possible matchup with Slabba in the final. If he can win this tourney, he would really start to prove himself.

Should give him yet more valuable match practise at least.

The foreigners are even infiltrating the British tour now!

Go Slabba, Seator and Sagoo

One Jagdev to rule them all!

He shouldn't have any problems against Peter Francis. He won't concede five games unless he is playing badly.

Conversely the womens draw has only 16 people in a 32 player tournament...

Don't know how Hewitt won that NAtional tournament last year. Not sure he's won a match at any level since...

Ill tell you how johnnylad. It's because at the time Tim won the nationals barely anyone knew who he was and he was always the underdog. Tim just happened to be very good at winning when he wasnt the favourite. Now everyone knows how he plays and hes bcome a target for people who want to "take out the national champion"-all of a sudden things arent so easy and now he has to deal with the pressure.

Seems a good reason.

Pity he hasn't been able to live with that extra pressure.

Thanks for the insight mate

To be fair, Obama beat Alex Miotto just last moth so maybe it's not such a terrible defeat. Surprising none the less and looks like it was very close.

Oh well, everyone has an off day i supose. Wonder where he will go next

Shame about Sagoo. But you can't play your best tennis every week!

Obama defeated Seator, so he is clearly better than what his ranking shows him to be.

Good run for Slabba here. Should beat Illingworth today!
