I asked Luke Milligan about Jamie's recent improvements last week:
Q: "Jamie has made huge improvements in the last 6 months. Would you say this was down to having a new training base in Florida ?"
Luke: "I think that the key is him being based somewhere which works for him. That's the key for a lot of players, too often they just think, I'm going to the USA, so I'm going to improve. Wherever they are based, the work has to be put in by the player. With Jamie to be honest, it would be doing him an enormous disservice to say that his improvement is down to being based in the States. He's the type of player who would improve wherever he trained. His improvement comes from being an unbelievably good competitor; he fights, he works, he watches and he studies the game."
