QR2: (q2) Ross Connolly WR 1051 beat Michal Tyml (CZE) UNR by 3-6 6-2 6-2 QR2: Kyle Brassington UNR beat Gregory Chin-a-Kwie (NED) UNR by 3 & 1
QR3: (q2) Ross Connolly WR 1051 v Martin Durdik (SVK) UNR QR3: Kyle Brassington UNR v (q12) Maksim Bakunin (UKR) WR 1275
A slightly shaky start from Ross, but two convincing wins for Kyle, his first back to back wins since he qualified for the Nottingham Future last September only to get double bagelled by Martin Lee in R1. From which we can deduce that the guy whom Chin-a-Kwie beat in QR1 must be almost as bad at tennis as I am!
On Sunday, Kyle is 1st on Court 23 (this is the huge Ramat Hasharon tennis centre where Murray/Sherwood beat Erlich/Ram in DC btw!) and Ross is 1st on Court 24, both at 07.30 GMT. QR4 will also be played on Sunday, with Kyle and Ross potentially 3rd on Courts 5 and 6 respectively.

Great stuff from Connolly The Ramat Hasharon arena is quite unusual, it's horseshoe shaped and takes some getting used to.
Great draw for him, probably one of the best he could have hoped for. Daniel Kumlin is ranked 224 places lower at 1275 but was in excellent form in qualifying, not dropping a set and beating the Dutch 6th seed 6-4, 6-2 in the final round. They've played once before, Kumlin won 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 on indoor carpet in Sweden last year. However, Kumlin was the higher ranked player back then, lets hope Ross can turn the tables now.
Chris Eaton's opponent, Monaco's Thomas Drouet, barely broke sweat over the weekend, not dropping more than 3 games in any of his 3 matches. Eaton is ranked 315 places higher and so should have too much class but Drouet's extra match practise on the courts could give him an edge. This will be Eaton's first tournament since sustaining an injury in France at the end of January.

19 year old from Yorkshire, I think that Bladetiger may have seen him sometime but I can't find any game info.
He's only qualified for 1 futures so far, that was in Nottingham last September when he beat Irwin before getting double-bagelled by Martin Lee in rd1.
Lost to Ross Connolly, Ian Flanagan and David Brewer in straight last autumn
Brassington plays a lot of British Tour Events. Has won one or two. He was playing at the Event in Corby I watched but unfortunately I never got to see any of his matches.

Could be a bit like Tom Greenland, impressive record on the British tour with lots of titles but never able to really make a breakthrough on the senior circuit.
