Portugal F2 - Lagos 10K (Hard)

An astonishing 21 Brits in qualifying here - more than there will be at the GB Future in Jersey probably! Rushby/Ward and Kennaugh/Slabba are unfortunately seeded in the same sections as each other. We had better get one of them through each of those two sections!

QR1 S1: Simon Konov UNR v Alejandro Vargas-Garcia (ESP) WR 1413
QR1 S1: Charles Clayforth-Carr UNR v Luigi Esposito (ITA) UNR
QR1 S1: Robert Dee WR 1528 v Mikhael Fedoseyev (UKR) UNR
QR1 S1: (q12) James Ward WR 867 v Pablo Martin-Adalia (ESP) WR 1528

Portugal won't know what's hit it!

Quick quiz then, for 20 of my betting am's!

How many Brits will qualify from this draw?

I'm going for 2 in an attempt to retain my "money!"

I went with four, but im thinking a possible five for some reason.

Slabba, Kennaugh, Rushby and Ward, but I also want to give a shout to Ben Pritchard who can shock, i know hes beaten Dan Cox a few times so i think hes in with a shout of at least winning a round

When did Pritchard play Cox?

Speaking of Cox, he must be one of the few Brits to have come through 128 player fields in the recent past. Anyone know which other players have done this?

That's even more optimistic than Arka - Ward's in the same section as Rushby and Slabba's in the same Section as Kennaugh, so unfortunately we can't get all four of them through without LL places.

I would expect 2 or 3 of the Brits to get through here, simply as there are just so many of them that a few of them will be able to put a few wins together, and if not, we'll get a load of lucky loser spots which always seems to happen

Dee to win a match... surely this unranked Ukrainian can't be that good...?

It was Fowler who was double bagelled. Irwin won with a double bagel!
