What happened to him?

Was one of the top five clay players till 2005, but something went wrong from there on. Now he loses almost every match he plays - he even managed to get bagelled by Gilles Muller on Rebound Ace! He is yet to win a match this year and after the latest disater he went on to say - "I was a genius then and now I'm an idiot."


Looks like he'll retire soon.

Bizarre streak of bad form from Gaudio ! To go from one of the top 10 clay-courters to this is just weird !

Must be worrying that he can't even buy a win on clay at the moment and is losing to players like Berlocq. Only last spring, he was the only player apart from Federer to test Nadal on clay. Took a set off him in the Monte Carlo semis but couldn't keep that level up and lost in 3
